Somewhere in the last few decades it appears that convenience has trumped our desire to create and make. I have fallen victim to this and so too have many of my friends. So this year we have decided to self proclaim 2020 as The Year of Making Stuff - the year we get off our screens for longer and put our hands to good use - making foods, accessories, gardens, diy, whatever it is that takes our fancy.
I am a huge believer that using our hands and diving into simple creative tasks helps us quieten our mind, stop and reflect on the simple things. An important exercise for our everyday mental health that is often overlooked.
To celebrate this I have created the below illustration. A little 5 point plan for things you yourself can make this year. Nothing too complicated (or very complicated if you like) just some simple good old fashion handmaking. Just save the image and print - not to be reproduced for commercial purposes obviously - just to be enjoyed by you.
I hope it helps and brings you a little bit of joy.
